About Casa Turrent
Alberto and Alejandro Turrent, owners of Nueva Matacapan de Tabacos S.A de C.V are the first family of Mexico's cigar industry. The father-son team not only make some of Mexico's best cigars but are also the largest grower of cigar tobacco in the country. The San Andres Maduro leaf they grow outside of Veracruz is world renowned for its quality, and a variety of their tobaccos are important components in many of America's most popular premium cigar brands.
To keep the consistency of their flagship Casa Turrent line, Alejandro decided a large factory was not the best place to make the more complex Casa series. Alejandro took his great-grandfather's house and renovated it to make a boutique factory with 15 people to produce the Casa Turrent Series.
1880 Series Claro
Casa Turrent Have reserved a selection of their finest Mexican tobacco and aged it over the course of a decade to bring you cigars of the upmost quality and complexity, its tobacco comes from a singular harvest and fermentation. 1880 Claro has varied notes coming fully equipped with nuances of leather, earth, cedar, red fruits and caramel, while subtle notes of smoke, flowers, coconut and cinnamon come to play with intense woody notes on the finish.
